
Lois Ingram is President and CEO of Ingram & Company, a management consulting firm that advises senior executives in complex service businesses on corporate growth strategies grounded in the Experience those businesses deliver to their customers. Since the firm was founded in 1986, clients have included companies in financial services, brokerage, travel and hospitality, telecommunications, electronic commerce, technology, media planning and buying, entertainment, personal care, information management, and research.
During the past seventeen years as head of Ingram & Company, Ms. Ingram has earned a respected place as senior advisor to executives in leading organizations. She has a reputation for creativity and strategic discipline that has been instrumental in reshaping such organizations as Citibank’s Retail and Private banks, and JPMorgan’s Private Bank. She was a pioneer in the field and has been a significant contributor to the development of Experience as an intellectual and strategic dimension of service businesses’ marketplace posture.
Ms. Ingram has developed innovative methodologies for helping businesses in service categories bring their Brands to life in the daily interactions those businesses have with clients and customers. Ingram & Company’s Experience and Brand Behaviorsm methodologies have been used extensively by a variety of clients—to develop highly differentiating consumer and business-to-business propositions—in the physical and virtual worlds.
Ms. Ingram is a frequent speaker to international business, strategy, and marketing audiences at a wide array of companies and category conferences in the U.S., Latin America, Asia-Pacific and Japan, the Middle East, and Europe.
Prior to starting Ingram & Company, Ms. Ingram worked in development and marketing at Citibank, and at Ogilvy & Mather on the American Express account. She started her career in publishing, working at Columbia University Press, Billboard Publications, and a subsidiary of Doubleday & Co. after completing the graduate publishing curriculum at Harvard. She studied English and Classical Chinese at the University of Vermont. She was born and raised in Montana.
