Pang Houa Moua is the Director of Community Education and Outreach for the Asian American Justice Center (AAJC). Ms. Moua administers AAJC’s Community Partners Network, a group of nearly 100 community-based organizations in 44 cities in 24 states, and the District of Columbia. In this capacity, she works with local community-based organizations, conducting outreach activities and providing technical assistance and training on a variety of issues including anti-Asian violence and hate crime prevention, immigration and advocacy. Additionally, Ms. Moua directs the English Language Learning and Integration Program, which strives to build legislative and public education strategies to encourage support of adult English Language Acquisition programs.
Prior to joining AAJC in August 2005, Ms. Moua served as policy advocate for Hmong National Development, where she advocated for issues of importance to Hmong American communities and managed the Hmong Action and Visibility in Education (HAVE) project, a national program which sought to empower Hmong parents to be actively engaged in education advocacy in order to improve the academic achievement of Hmong youth.
Ms. Moua earned her Bachelor of Arts with honors in American Civilization from Brown University.
